The international standard ISO 19011: 2011 is nearing final approval and is expected to be released in October of 2011. This revision seeks to standardize auditing approaches for a variety of management systems, including:
  • ·         Transportation safety management
  •           Environmental management
  •           Quality management
  •           Records management
  •           Resilience, security, preparedness and continuity management
  •           Information security
  •           Occupational health and safety
Changes will be value-added for organizations seeking to integrate auditing activities across the different management systems within their operations. The revised standard will also enhance and strengthen auditing processes and in determining and strengthening auditor competencies.

We look forward to updating our internal auditing training programs ISO 9001, ISO/ TS 16949 and ISO 14001 with these important revisions.
